The Aaron Pasch Memorial 5K Run is an event held in memory of a remarkable young man, Aaron Pasch. His journey left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and this race celebrates his passion, accomplishments, and the joy he brought into countless lives.
Born and raised in Sycamore, Aaron was a proud graduate of Sycamore High School’s Class of 2010. He continued his educational pursuits with an Associate of Science degree from Kishwaukee College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in May 2015.
Beyond his academics, Aaron had a passion for sports and athletics, particularly running, and competed at high levels in both Cross Country and Track & Field. At U of M, he was a dedicated employee at the Bierman Field Athletic Facility. After graduation, he transitioned into a role he truly cherished with the University of Minnesota athletic department. He was fortunate to have an office in the iconic TCF Stadium (now Huntington Bank Stadium), a testament to his deep-rooted passion for his work.
But Aaron was more than his achievements on paper. He was a fun-loving, adventurous, and kind-hearted individual who radiated positivity. He’s remembered as a dedicated friend who touched lives with his lighthearted nature and infectious sense of humor.
On July 18, 2015, we lost Aaron at the age of 23. The Aaron Pasch Memorial 5K Run was conceived as a way to honor his memory, celebrate his life, and keep his spirit alive in the community.
By participating in or supporting this event, you are not only part of a cause but also part of Aaron’s continuing legacy. All proceeds from the race will be directed towards scholarships for Sycamore High School graduates.
Thank you for joining us in remembering a life lived with passion, kindness, and indomitable spirit.
Let’s run in his honor!
